Early Morning? Late nite? Is there a Difference? LOL

I went out and took some pictures Yesterday So some of you may have noticed I didn't get to your blogs and leave any notes and such. I appologize for that. I got up early early and was able to get some pictures at sunrise.. Then later after the daily routines were caught up we were on the move as I have wanted to get some photography shots..

Kyle had his birthday Yesterday and I think he had a good one. :) Erin asked me.. So now that he is three are the Terrible twos going to stop and hes going to be good? LOL HAHAHAHA I said ITS NOT A SWITCH.. You can just flip it off and on.. LOL Crazy MAN!!!

The Q125 Celebration is going on where we live.. Our town is 125 years old.... So they are having celebrations Until July 4th.. Many Many activities.. Not only do I want my boyz to be apart of it all. I want to be able to take photos.. I think they are having some sort of Reinactment and LOTS of free food.. WHO would pass that up?? LOL

Alright Here are a few photos I took Yesterday morning.. While everyone else was still sleeping.. Here is 1 of 4 baby calves that are in the cattle yard. thought he was cutie.. I should have put a pink little bow on his ear.. that would sure be cute. LOL



Here is the the landscape I see out my window all day long.. we live in a valley and you can see it. Long Long Long ago this was all Water.. The river has gone down alot and now alot of the land you see is all Sand.. Things still grow:) Pretty flat huh? LOL Thats Nebraska!!! LOL :) and thats the morning fog around the River there.. If you are cuious! ;)



This is the picture I was doing alot focusing on for this mornings photography. I didn't get a sunset shot because I fell asleep from being so tired after getting up so early and running around with the boyz. LOL

Mouse in MY House! Mouse Under MY Couch!

Alright this day is not going as I have planned. Was supposed to have a Dentist appointment and I figured Erin would stay home for the hour that it was going to take. But Assumed wrong.. No babysitter and so Had to cancel. Everyone is awake.. EVEN THE MOUSE that ran UNDER the couch!!!

Not to string out a Story... but a Mouse ran under the Couch.. and so I quickly got the Glue traps and put them next to the TV from where it ran behind... Then I shook the Couch to make it run back to its hiding place or hole behind the TV.. Sure it enough.. It ran.. and so did my dog. Needless to say.. We caught a dog in our mouse Trap.. and Let me say THIS IS NOT the First time this has happend.. but this is the WORST it has happened.. This time I actually had to cut her beautiful Fur to get her off of it. So I am not in a good mood in that aspect. OHHH the mouse.. JUMPED Over the 2!!!! traps that I laid down! I am seriously going to catch this mouse and see if they need him in the NBA!! LOL Dern Mouse!

My All Star

OK.. now I haven't planned anything out today.. I am riding by the seat of my Pants.. (did I really just mess tha saying up or what? LOL) anyway.. I dont know what I am going to post about..

(I have pics to share with you.. but my connection is awful today and they wont load :( will try tomorrow... :(

First, My Hubbies Grandma is in the Hospital.. so We will being spending most of the Day thinking about her. :( Prayers for Grandma!

Second.. Curtis did EXCELLENT at Baseball Last nite. (Except he was digging holes in the outfield... But at his age its hard to focus 100% of the time! LOL) SOOO The Coaches asked if he would Play again with the big kids.. Curtis was upset at first that I said yes.. but then I said.. "Curtis, They must think you are a GREAT enough player to play with all the big kids!!!" He replied with "Really?" And I explained to him.. that he was a strong enough kid and when you hit the ball its really far.. and I ALSO Went on to explain to him.. when I am shouting at the sidelines.. I am NOT being mean.. I am just trying to HELP.. and not to think I am chewing him out. (Lately I have felt like that mother I told you about before) But I told him I am just keep Helping you to IMPROVE!!! LOL (Like Last nite he was in the outfield and digging in the dirt... So I told him.. Be ready Curtis Its On its way!!!) SO NOW I dont know what to say.. AM I that mom that i embarrassing him? although I can't tell if he likes me helping him or not.. I dont think it embarrasses him like that other kid.. (that kid always put his head down like he didn't want anyone see him.. Curtis blows me kisses while he out there playing. LOL :) HES a LOVER not a fighter. LOL AHAHAHA

BUSY MOMMA!

Wanted to start off with a Funny little Blinkie I found.. And I can't remember where I got this one right off hand so if you know leave the link in the comment section!! :) Check it out!!




Alright I can't stop right there.. there are a few more..









LOL Alright may not seem like I am a busy Momma right now.. but I am. Took Curtis to his little summer school Class.. Erin was driving the Fuel Truck today(He is soo Stressed about this because its his first day doing this alone... He usually drives the PROPANE truck.. and yes there is difference... Propane you is the stuff you use in the grills and Fuel is the truck that goes out to farms so they can fill up their tractors and trucks.. Remember seeing the Barrel in the air on a tripod type thing, while driving thru the country? Thats Pretty much what he is doing today.. so Hes nervous and stressed and to top it all off.. Its an old rickety truck!) Alright anyway, Then I went to town to run an errand or 2.. then back to pick up Curtis.. Now we are home.. but then after dinner, naps, snacks, and baths... curtis has a Baseball Game.. But this is not just ANY baseball game.. the coach Called and asked if he could play in the big kids game.. they were short and needed a replacement.. so he is sooo excited and honored that he was asked.. he Right now its sooo hot outside and we are trying to stay cool!! Thank goodness I was smart and bought pop sicles for the boys while they were on sale!! LOL :)

Whew!

I been busy.. I know huh!!! Imagine that.. No new layouts today.. your prolly thinking THANK YOU!! LOL but dont worry I am going on a Layout rampage again.. I have so many pictures.. and WHY does it seem that I have so many pictures but I keep scrapping the same ones over and over. LOL I know they are my favorites but its really really not helping me get all my photos scrapped... LOL

Well, It shure looks like it could rain. So I am not sure if I will be mowing or not. Would love to before the grass gets to tall but you know how that goes. Its like washing your car. When you do the next day it rains. So if I get on the mower you know it will start raining. LOL

SHORT And SWEET :)

Curtis is in Summer school This week.. Not what you think.. Its for 2 hours a day for 2 weeks and they just invite all the kids to come and read books and will help them with writing too. I figured why not. He loves school and loves to be with his friends. And this will get him out of the house and doing something a little more educational than sitting at home playing games or watching TV. The pool has been open too but he has not gone swimming yet. We have been busy.. and with my tooth getting pulled I have needed him at home to play with his brothers. He can be a good helper on certain days. LOL

Preview of New Kit

So I had a long night, how did your nights go? Really? Interesting. :) LOL so I didn't do any new layouts yesterday.. Oh but I have to show the quick pages I made for the Let's Scrap Quick Page Exchange.. It was using Katg's Kit Sunset.. It is sooo beautiful! You only have to make 1 but I love the kit so much I made 4.. Alright.. (LAYOUT THICK!!)

SO As most of you could tell.. LOL I skipped Yesterday.. I know bad Leslie!!! But I had a good reason I promise.. I went to my dentist appointment and he tried to fix my tooth.. but ended up pulling it out. It was infected and I have been taking penecillan(SP) but he couldn't get down the 3rd canal that was in my tooth for my rootcanal. SOOO he said I could either go to a surgical dentist or he could pull it.. Well.. I am done with the tooth to be honest and wanting to be pain free in my mouth to eat anything.. And to be honest CORN COB season is coming.. and NOTHING should get in the way of that right? LOL :) So I told him.. Just pull it!!! so LITERALLY he took a pliers and with ALOT of twisting and tilting and moving.. he finally got it out.. It was HUGE!!! he washed it off and showed me what was going on with it.. I think he felt bad that he had to pull it was trying to justify himself to me. LOL i didn't care really I just want my Mouth back!! If I had my camera at that point in time I would have taken a picture.. And I forgot about my camera phont. DARN!!

So since I didn't feel like blogging much yesterday I do have some layouts to share.. LOL

Where?

Alright so where did we leave off? LOL Yes I know I took yesterday off.. Spent the whole day watching movies with the kids and HUBBY for fathers day. :) it was pretty good... Here we go I will give you a run down of the movies we rented...

OHH... HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD!!!!!!!!! (he reads my blog too :)

Superman(the new one)- It was really good. I was really surprised. I figured it would be another one of them hero saves the girl, hero gets the girl type... Definately didn't end that usual way. but this time.. there is DEFINATELY a REAL reason for a sequel. not one of the soap opera he rose from the dead because he was buried alive for the last 5 years things. LOL AND dont tell me that hasn't happend on your soap opera. LOL hahahaha

GridIron Gang.. OHHHH Definately a good movie.. and our oldest watched it with us too. He liked as well. LOVED IT.. I think they could have showed a little more of Exzibit but.. its okay.. The ROCK ROCKS! LOL :) Great movie...

John Tucker Must Die ..... its an okay movie.. definately focused more on the teenage spectrum of the audience. Its got the whole clicky thing, the boyfriend, the boyfriends brother.. but many times had me hitting my hubby and saying "why dont you do that for me anymore?" LOL :) a cute movie with that adolecent plot line. LOL

And thats all.. we watched some movies on stars.. and Showtime.. Zathura, and the Ice Princess. but had a pretty relaxing Day.. It was too hot to do anything to big. I of course wanted to go to the zoo.. but Erin said no... the Henry Dorley Zoo in Omaha is Right Next to the Baseball Stadium.. and this weekend was the College World Series.. so he said there is NO WAY we are going down there in all that traffic.

Tonight Curtis has a game so we will be going to that. Should be fun since its already started to rain a bit outside.. and missed the last game cuz it was raining and we thought They canceled due to the weather well.. come to find out they still played and they town they played in was DRY!!! so we are not going to miss another one.. I feel horrible that we missed one. He LOVES to play and be with his friends so I hate when we miss anything he wants to do.

NO newsletter today!

Yes I know i have been a bad newsletter writer lately.. I haven't gotten them out.. but I will.. I Have been busy doing layouts.. THANK you all for the comments and the thank yous.. You are VERY SWEET:) I design for YOU!!!

Thank you so much for all your comments on Yesterdays story. I try to keep something private but since it was brought up and other people can learn from what happened to us.. I figured I would share. I am not ashamed we had to file for bankruptcy because it was worth doing what we had to save my son. we lived there for about 5 years. :( it was a Wonderful big house. Someday I will have my own house again.. with my own garden.. and my own weeds, and my own grass, and my own decor, and my own faults. LOL but they will be mine!!! someday...
I love you all and Thank you for taking the time to leave me a message:) I have to tell you YOU ALL have made my day so much brighter!!! Seriously.. I was Really down in the dumps today but then I started getting messages from you all and I have to tell you.... Story

Well, Kat put a link up and showed us that the Thomas the Trains have been recalled because of Lead paint... WELL.... for those of you that know me.. know that we had HUGE deal with lead paint... here is the Short story I wrote at Let's Scrap..

About 4 years ago.. My son curtis started having seizures.. They said it was a
Febrile seizure and it was common for kids his Age... THAT did NOT sit well with
me.. a Febrile seizure is what happens when thier tempeture gets so high.. THAT
is not NORMAL to me at all.. AND THat was not a good enough explanation.. so I
kept at the Dr's. My son was too important to me. He ended up having another one
a year later.. SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME!!! I thought he was dieing!!! I went to a program here where they give your child thier shots and you can just donate..
They offered to do a lead level check for free too.. I said Heck why not.. The
Results came back and His lead level was high. They did more bloodwork and found
out his REAL lead Level was 58... NORMAL IS BELOW 10!!! and FATAL was 80!!! So I had a HORRIBLY SICK kid and Didn't know what to do!! The Governement couldn't help us clean the Lead paint out of our house(that we were buying!!!) So we
ended up having to file Bankruptcy and giving the house back to the bank. (the
only way out of the Loan:( ) So Now we have been renting ever since..

The State lady had come to our house and tested the whole house for Lead. seems It was on the outside of our house and in the window sills.. the part between the indoor
window and the outside window... and that we had been tracking in the lead paint
and that it was in the carpets and such.. the Dust anyway..

so that brings us to today... Ever since we moved from that house.. my sons lead levels are back to normal and he has NO seizures and he seems more coherent.. Or As much as his dad anyway. LOL OHHHH so what I was really wanting to tell you about lead... is the State lady that came to our house said they do still use lead in the paints.. Like in CHILD DISHES because Lead paint is brighter and attracts the attention of young children!!!! Can you believe that!!!! She said the time to worry and to throw out the dishes is when you break thru that shiney layer that is on them
plastic dishes.. She said to just throw it out. Sooo needless to say I have
never bought or used ANY child dishes.. I use our regular plates and bowls.. or
plastic plates and bowls. I am not risking anything!

This is a 4 generation picture on my DH Fathers side. It was such a beautiful memory!

This is Mother and Father In law. :) They are so cute together! can you tell which decade this picture was taken in? Why did all the pictures in the 70's have that red tint to them? Let me know Im curious.. I have my own ideas but they may not be the correct ones. LOL :)

I left them black.. I figured you could change thier color to go with the layout you are doing. or you could just leave them black and use them as sillouet(SP) LOL :) there are 2 verticles ones too:)

Bad news and Good news!

Alright so I am back.. and i know missed blogging yesterday... :( SORRY!!! I am a little crabby from lack of sleep the last couple of days. Not because the kids are sick.. I have no idea. I have been restless.. and I am getting Hot flashes. :( I know that you all just started laughing for the ones that know me.. LOL But its true. I have endo and so it really messes with my repo system..( I dont like talking about it so that is all your gonna hear of it.. and this part "I HATE HOTFLASHES!!!"



So big news is Beans Birthday.. he is Officially 2 now:) Since January he was that Unoffical 2 years old.. close enough When people ask kwim? LOL So now he really is.. and You all are thinking now the terrible twos... Well, thanks to kyle he already initiated that stage A LONG TIME AGO!!

This my Little Brother and my Son. He sure loves his Uncle and recently has really started to act like him and look up to him alot more. Snapped this pic at our recent Family BBQ:)

The boys are indeed sick. Not deathly ill, just darn colds and runny noses.. You know the constant whipeing and blowing kind. You just clean it up and it needs to be blown again. Darn colds..

Erin had an eye appointment last week, Let me start off by giving you a little background first. If you haven't read all the way back on my blog you will have read that Erin has a disease in his eyes that has him almost blind. He can't hardly see and as time goes by it disinegrates more and more. :( You are read more about keratoconus Here. anyway it is the Pupil forms into a Mountian shape and protrudes from the Regular shape of the eye. Its been hard for him to keep contacts in and he can't hardly see out of Glasses. His glasses that he does have are soo thick!!! He only wears them at home. He can't see thru them well enough to wear them any more than that. He was wearing like 4 contacts at one time and now he the big news........ Now he has to wear these contacts that are Specially made for him. Its a new thing for people with his type of problem.. Now bear with me. Take your index finger and touch the tip of your Thumb. and you get a cicle right? Well that is the size of the new contacts that he needs. Awful huh? I can't imagine!!! Well each contact is roughly around $500!! WOW.. The Dr. said Soon he will lose his site all together, I dont think he knows how much of an impact this will have on our lives and how delicate this situation is for the future. I can't imagine not having that sence to see the landscapes or your family. I dont bring it up so as not to have him thinking about it either. Its one of them situations that you can't do anything to fix it but have cornial Transplant(wich they wont do unless he is completely blind because the surgery may not work either..)

so This is partly why I can't sleep. I Can't figure out how to help to come up with money. SOOO i am going to spend a little more time trying to figure out how to start up my photography business. Its PRIME season for Senior pics.. and If I put a few ads around for cheaper than prices I ought to have a few people Want to save money and such. also I have so much paper scrapping stuff I need to part with but It sort of breaks my heart. LOL Call me hoarder but its hard to part with After so long of collecting it. LOL and I still use some of it for altered art!!

alright What else did I want to put in here today??OH yes.. the Good News......
I AM ON NINA'S GUEST CT!!! SOOOO AWESOME!!! that so made my day when I seen it! You all KNOW how much I love her designs and she is like an IDOL to me!! I can see myself Swimming in all her designs as if it were millions and millions of dollars. LOL :) Are you imagining it? I AM!!! Now Just one more Designer and I have EVERYTHING I will EVER need..(shhh Manu may be reading..) SOOO Anyway, dont be worried I will Create beautiful layouts and I may plug a few sales.. but I will still have my freebies:) so if you like them you can keep coming back!! :)

Oh I almost forgot I had someone ask Where I got the kids' nicknames. Well. I had one growing up or a few My name is Leslie.... My sister as a toddler learning to talk couldn't say that so she called me La... so everyone called me that and My sister and my Mom and Dad still do. LOL my cousins called me Lolly, and my Mom Still calls me Les. Now my Kids.. Curtis was always called "Turdy" he is a turd you know. I think someone said something bad about calling him that because when he was old enough to understand... he started telling us "MY NAME IS CURTIS" so we stopped callin him Turdy. My next oldest is Kyle. His nickname is "POOT", Have you ever watched the blue collar comedy tour? Well Ron White said his sons nickname was Poot. Thus my love for this name. and it has progressed to Pootinanny also. LOL My Youngest is Beans and Everyone knows him as so. I was pregnant when I came up with this name. It was on a Disney show the one with Shyla Debouf... the little kid that loved to eat.. Was named Beans.. and considering my the size he was when born I think we picked a great name:) LOL We call him Beans, Beansie, Beaners... he answers to them all. LOL :)

Tell that mom to HUSH!

Well we had another Game Last nite.. It was sooo windy I figured they would cancel it. but They didn't so... We traveled the 45 min to get to the town.. Curtis Says Are we in Oklahoma now?LOL I had to laugh... NO we are in Oakland. LOL :) They played really Well again today and And Curtis does an EXCELLENT job of paying attention and keeping his eye on the ball. I toldhim he only needs to work on Stopping the ball. The ball comes at him and he steps away instead of getting in front of it. Then he ends up chasing it a good distance. LOL :) Imnot too worried about it. One mother there was awful!! I felt so bad for that kid. His momkept saying "Pay attention!!, Hes not even watching the ball, PAY ATTENTION, he just can'tsit still!" All the while Yelling and Everyone can hear her.. and the poor boy just sort oflifts his shy hands and shrugs his shoulders saying "What?" He Can hear her yelling too..HOW Embarrassing!!! I would be so ashamed if My mother were doing that to me too!!! He is Is just 5/6 You can't expect him to be the Majors!! anyway... It is just something thatbothered me. I guess When I raise my kids I try to realize what they are feeling at that same time too. If I know I have said something mean or I dont act in a motherly way... Then I try to appologize to my kids immediately. If I think Dad is being too hard on em.. well, Then I stand up for what I think is correct.. KWIM? I dont want them to Scarred emotionally,But I want them to suck it up too. LOL Raising kids is HARD!!! And I will be the first to admit it.. My son will come to me and say.. You are hurting my feelings.. LMAO!!! Well, You HURT MINE TOO when you dont listen to us!! Hes got it down pat! He will Whine his way out or IN to anything. LOL But we are getting smarter.. We dont let him get away with Everything. ALRIGHT I will change the subject.

EXCITING!

I actually sat down last nite and got to do my layouts without interruption.. well... Much interruption at least(kyle still got up out of bed to procrastiate on going to sleep) LOL :) But check out what I have done!!



This is what I did for the Let's Scrap Color CHallenge:)



This is my Aunt and her grand-daughter:)I used the colors in the challenge and changed her Shirt color to go with the theme.All the Ribbons and flower are mine.. and the torn cardboard are mine also. All recolored to go with the theme!

This is what I did for the Let's Scrap Photo Swap(You exchange pics.) I got Dani's Pics and here is her Beautiful cat Simba!


This Dani's Simba:) Playing in her food:)I used the Cat and Dog kit from Calico Creations.And the Template by Alicenaylor

Then I participated in Shell's Recipe Challenge at MooTwo Designs. Theme was International Grilling.

Mowing:)

OHHHH yes... so the Surprise is I am ON RIKKI's CT!!!!! :) YOu can see her Blinkie on the side bar next to Bonnie's Blinkie:) SOOO EXCITING!! :) I am seriously so happy. she has some of the Cutest kits I have ever seen. I love em! I have plenty of boy pics to do many many scrap layouts:) Its sooo exciting!:) You can Check out her blog here!

Dani's Blog and leave her some love.. she needs to go to the Hosp for some check ups and tests.. I think she definately could use some love and prayers:) HUGS DANI!!!!

Alright.. i have the cutest photo I took with my new cell phone. LOL let me see if I can get it uploaded here. This is the pic of me.. trying to multiTask. LOL I had Beans in the house napping. And The boys and I were going to mow. But I didn't trust Poot to just sit in the back without jumping out, falling out, or walking around in the trailer.. And I knew if he was going to sit there he would fall asleep. (no nap that day yet.) so I hooked up the trailer, put one of the car seats in it. and Wired it up so it wouldn't move. Then I locked him in and gave curtis a blanket and pillow to sit on.. needless to say we mowed for about 30 min and Kyle was alseep. Curtis laid down and was going to fall asleep. When we finished.. they were annoculating the cattle just to the left of this photo.. so the boys and I went to watch for while.. Curtis got an eyeful!! he seen them checking for babies..(If you know what I mean!!! meaning HUGE PLASTIC gloves!!) Anyway.. thought I would share this. LOL I thought I was Pretty Inventive LOL:) The things a Mother will do! :)

Curtis had a Game Last nite!

Yes... Curtis had a his first TeeBall Game Last nite.. :) It was soo fun! Yes this was my first sporting event PLAYING ANOTHER team.. I have to say it was definately a PROUD MOM moment:) Especially when he hit it the furthest of all the kids.. And EVERYONE yelled and Wow'd.. :) He Really did hit it Pretty far... Farther than I thought He could. :) and then the first inning.. he was the 1st baseman.. and he Caught the ball a few times.. and he Threw like he had been playing since he was a baby.. LOL Seriously Proud Momma:)

Here is some from the game:) He is Hasenkamp Number 6. for the For the last inning he was a right fielder. He didn't get much action but He paid attention to the game compared to Other kids.. Oh he is on the Red Team.. they played the Orange Team.

Gatorade Break.. And the one below.. he was running to home base. :) And his coach is the blonde in the red shirt at home plate..

I have more pics.. but I need to do a little zoom action on them.. Beacause I couldn't just sit on the pitchers mound to take the pics.. they are a little distant. LOL :)

Well.. I finally bugged Erin enough to get me a Cell phone and him a cell phone and then cancel our Land line phone.. Why? Well because there is NO sense in paying for both When you are supposed to be money concious... and I hate leaveing the house with the kids and not having a phone. If I got stranded somewhere It would be so hard for me to pack up BOTH little ones and walk to the nearest farm to use thier phone or wait for help.. Let me tell you... Awhile back I got a flat from a nail in my tire and we were about 3 miles from town. Luckily at this time.. I only had Curtis but I was also about 5 months Pregnant with Kyle.. so Curtis was 3. THIS IS HARD because I was late for school.. (college) Curtis only walked a little bit before getting tired so I had to carry him, We also lived on a Gravel road that wasn't too busy.. Especially in the morning when all the farmers were either in town drinking coffee or doing chores... so!!! I headed out with curtis and a few people just DROVE BY US!!! I MEAN COME ON!!!! PREGNANT LADY, CAR IN DITCH NOT TOO FAR BACK, CARRYING ANOTHER KIDS and HIS DIAPER BAG IN 80 Degree Morning STICKY AIR!!! YUK!!! Anyway... Now that I bored you with the story... This is a situation that I could NOT stand to go thru again.. And Now since there are 2 little ones I am sure that would impossible to do.. Although I do have the Double Stroller in the back ALWAYS In case of such a situation.. But.. a Cell would make it so much easier.. for the kids.. and my BACK! LOL :) Well I should have told you.. yes someone did finally stop and pick us up... After I had already traveled 2 miles.. but I had about 2 more to go.. so I was EXSTATIC!!! Finally ended up getting to my mother in laws.. And then things were only getting better from there on out. I missed class but that was okay.. I had never missed a class to that point and I was always on time.. so My teacher understood. :)

JUNE!!!???!!!!!???
